    Hi

    In the validation of addresses (some of them) the lafka system is not validating them correctly, for example shipping addresses take longer or shorter mileage, it also does not recognize shipping addresses that are within the area configured for shipping, these examples were compared with Google maps (image attached)

    In the first example, the mileage is higher than the corresponding one according to comparison with Google Maps, the second example does not recognize the address as a shipment being within the enabled area, it is also compared with Google Maps..

    link image example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16xEw1WWDIKe0NiSl18AjCdpiFGhoiaoV/view?usp=sharing

    For this reason we still cannot enable updating, since due to the error of the previous version of the theme, shipments could also be made to areas that are not allowed (which in this case helps us if this is not blocked).

    Hi likewebcl,

    The problem with the different mileage probably comes from the fact that Google calculates the distance for driving by car, while you are checking for distance by bike.

    For the other problem, I am afraid we can’t understand the last sentence in your post. Could you, please explain more. Exactly what’s wrong with the update and the bug fix in the latest version?

    Hi @Althemist

    The website with lafka has been up and running for five days and these problems have been reported

    //mileage error (some addresses)
    I send image link now with km measurement by car and the distance is the same as indicated above, the Lafka plugin when giving km result does not match the distance according to Google, this problem was alerted by customer complaint when placing the order.

    //shipping error to address within shipping zone enabled (some addresses)
    The other problem is specifically that (some addresses) the lafka plugin is not taking valid for sending being within the zone configured for sending.

    //Responsive format
    The address in the shopping cart overlaps the product selected for the order.

    This problem happens with the last two versions:

    v. 4.2.0 – 01.07.2022

    Thank you for the support given, we are attentive to what you can communicate to us!

    Hi likewebcl,

    For the third problem (responsive format) we managed to replicate it and already working on a fix.

    As for the other 2 – please, allow a bit more time to investigate. Will let you know as soon as we have more information.

    BTW, could you please define the “some addresses” part of the problem? e.g. – it happens for “9060 Jose Miguel Carrera”, but it works fine when selected (just as an example) “9064 Jose Miguel Carrera”? Did I understand correctly?

    Hi @Althemist
    Excuse my delay in responding, we were with other developments and for this problem we expect a little more information, but everything remains the same (problem)

    Some addresses, it happens with some streets that lafka recognizes us accordingly KM, attached image where two streets are 100 meters apart, one street calculates 5km and another street 2km

    //directions nearby

    Addess: Juan Solar Parra 488 – El Bosque:: Lafka calculates 2km and it’s fine

    Addess: Esperanza 214 – El Bosque: lafka calculates 5km and it’s wrong

    Related to the other problems reported, we have found some answer

    Thank you very much for everything and we are very attentive to what you can answer us. This theme is amazing, just refine these details

    Hi @Althemist

    We are trying to help solve these problems and found this detail in some directions

    //shipping error to address within shipping zone enabled (some addresses)
    The other problem is specifically that (some addresses) the lafka plugin is not taking valid for sending being within the zone configured for sending.
    Link image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a_gbdeuxohh85VisDr7Sr2HteZd5z0-F/view?usp=sharing

    Investigating we found that the city that validates the shipment disappears at checkout (address validated by lafka), the city that validates appears as the second option in the address, with Santiago appearing, for example, as the first city (it should be noted that Santiago is the general parent city of the other cities of Chile, specifically the Metropolitan Region, where the business is), the attached image shows graphically what we are telling you:

    Hi likewebcl,

    It looks like Google Maps use a different (probably 3rd) level for your country. We are checking this now. Will let you know as soon as we have some result.

    The other point:
    //Responsive format
    The address in the shopping cart overlaps the product selected for the order.

    Hi likewebcl,

    We’ve checked with address for the branch: “Los Aviadores 25, El Bosque, 8030152, Región Metropolitana, Chile” and customer address: “Esperanza 214 – El Bosque” and the result was correct: 1.1 km.

    Regarding the distance measure: We are using the Google Distance Matrix API. This service returns only one route and we don’t have control over the returning data from Google. They might had some temporary issues with the service.

    Also we have checked with overlapping zones and shipping by distance, everything works fine.

    Please double check all your settings on your site and summarize all the issues you have, because currently it is not clear what issues you really have. We can’t check all your settings because the account you give us doesn’t have admin permissions.

    Also note that the autocomplete functionality in the popup is also provided by google. By default we’ve limited it to return only “Rooftop” addresses (this means complete addresses, with the exact street number and so on.). However in some areas google fails to understand if the address is complete, that’s why we’ve added the option: Branch Locations -> Allow Partial Address. This means, you can add partial address and rely on the costumer to enter all required data on the checkout page.

    Regards,
    Alex

    Hi @Alex y @Althemist thank you very much for the response, follow-up and search for a solution.

    Alex, What permissions besides all the Lafka configurations do you need to review on the website, since you have access to all the Lafka configurations?, we remain attentive

    //ESPERANZA #214, El Bosque – OK 🙂
    The km problem with the reported address Esperanza 214 El Bosque, has also been reviewed on the website lacocinadejeanpierre.cl and now it marks the km correctly, it could have been a Google error at the time or the updates made helped this optimization

    //shipping error to address within shipping zone enabled (some addresses)
    This problem is happening with some addresses, already mentioned in this thread:

    Investigating we found that the city that validates the shipment disappears at checkout (address validated by lafka), the city that validates appears as the second option in the address, with Santiago appearing, for example, as the first city (it should be noted that Santiago is the general parent city of the other cities of Chile, specifically the Metropolitan Region, where the business is), the attached image shows graphically what we are telling you:

    Thank you very much for the support and help with these problems, everything else is working perfectly… only these details that customers who place orders claim from the business for the values that do not correspond!!

    Hi likewebcl,

    The issue appears because Google returns Santiago as a city for this address. So we’ve made small modification for this area – to append to the city also the “administrative area 3” so it geocodes the address back more accurately.

    So you shouldn’t experience the same issue again.

    We will release an update in a few days.

    Regards,
    Alex
