My wordpress site says I am using Version: 5.6.5 of the Rigid theme. Is this the latest?

I assume this is the latest as there is no prompt/button asking me to update the theme on my wordpress dashboard on the ‘Themes’ page. However, I have just noticed that I’ve been making changes to my functions.php file in my theme editor without using a child theme! I thought this would mean that any theme updates mean I automatically lose any customisations I’ve made to the functions.php file. And I started using the theme in October 2020 so either it’s not been updated since then or my wordpress is not prompting me to update when it should.

I also noticed that the Rigid Plugin described as ‘plugin containing the rigid theme functionality’ is on version 3.5.7 – is this the latest?

Please can you confirm whether I am using the latest versions of the theme and plugin. Please can you also confirm what the latest versions are and if there are any extra steps I need to go to update (or should my wordpress dashboard prompt me to update in the ‘Themes’ page).

No, it is not the latest. Should be v. 5.8.5 from 28.06.2021. There were 12 newer versions with tons of changes since v. 5.6.5

In order to get the updates in your dashboard you’d need to enable and configure the Envato Market plugin (available in the theme). Otherwise, you’d only get e-mail notifications when new version is released.
