Hello! I’m using the Zass template and am setting a background color for the whole site. I’m struggling to find how I change the background behind the tear-off effect in the header and footer of the WordPress pages. The background color for the rest of the page is showing but it starts abruptly underneath the tear-off effect of the header, and above the tear-effect of the footer. Please see the linked image in case my description isn’t clear.

    Hello chris,

I am afraid this partial screenshot is not enough to get the full picture, but keep in mind the following:

    1. The one on the header is probably coming from the first ROW element in the content of the page.

    2. The one inside the footer must be set under Theme Options > Footer > Footer background.

Thank you for this – and apologies for taking so long to get back to you. I’ve defined the BG color everywhere I can seem to find but am still getting this effect behind the torn paper effect only on the page. Hoping this whole-page image illustrates what I’m seeing. Hoping to get this white I’m seeing right now, just in line with the torn paper effect, to be the same color as the bg everywhere else.

    Hi chris,

So sorry for the late reply.

Are you talking about the white color of the paper effect? If so – it can’t be changed. This is an image of paper, so it can’t be manipulated. If the white color doesn’t work for you, may be the best option would be to completely disable the torn paper effect.

The color of the torn paper is fine, but I’m specifically talking about the white space that seems to be included in the image providing the torn paper effect. In my mind, I should be able to update the image being used by the template to match it to the background color I’m using. The torn paper effect was the driving factor behind purchasing and using the Zass template, so I’m very interested in making this work.

I would really appreciate an update to this. I have about a month left on my support and I’m discouraged that responses have stopped. Is making me reconsider purchasing any templates in the future if this is what the support is like.
