Hi,

the blog page on my website doesn’t load. Well, it does but it literally takes 1 minute for it to fully load. This page and the blog category pages do that. I tried deactivating all the plugins, it didn’t change anything. I thought it was a problem with safari/apple but after changing my DNS, clearing my cache, changing device, checking my internet and asking other people on safari to check for me, it’s the same. The blog page takes 1 minute to charge for everyone on apple/safari/Mac.

Since the problem was still there when I deactivated all the plugins, I figured it could come from the theme? Can you please help me? my website it craftyexplorer.com. I also tried changing the blog page, it doesn’t change anything.
I have plugins to speed the website and stuff.I really don’t get why this page doesn’t load. Thanks!

Hi Camillev83,

I have just checked your website. It looks like the blog page is extremely slow on any OS/Browser, not just safari

The only real problem I can see there is an extreme amount of data loaded on your blog page from amazon. A lot of images (not even present on the page, but still loaded) and a lot of scripts.

Are you using some third-party amazon integration for products and ads?

Thank you so much for your quick answer. I’m not using any third party amazon integration, I just use the codes given in the amazon affiliate dashboard. Should I use a plugin? Or just remove the codes for images maybe? Thanks for your help!

I can’t really tell as this is not theme related. I don’t know what that code, why it’s there and what it does.
