ParticipantHi,
I’m trying to save a row as a template, because I want this row to be on every page, and it will save me time.
But when I type a name for the template, I cannot click the save button. It is grey and not clickable.
Is there another setting I need to change that I’m missing out on?
Thanks.

KeymasterHi Ben,
Are you using the latest theme version with the latest WP Bakery Page Builder?

ParticipantHi,
I’m using Refer version 1.8.9.
The WP Bakery Page Builder has needed updating for the past week, but it won’t update because it keeps saying I need to activate it. But I don’t have a license key to activate it.
And I can only use the page builder in the backend, not front editor.

ParticipantApparently I need to wait until the theme developer has updated it, as it’s not recommended that I purchase a separate license for it.
But I need this fixed ASAP because I have over 20 pages that I want to have the same row. And doing the same row manually for so many pages is a damn pain in the ass :).

ParticipantI deleted the page builder, then changed theme to Twenty Twenty, then changed back to Refer theme.
This made me reinstall the page builder, and that seemed to fix the front-end editor. So now I can use page builder front end.
But it did not fix the save as template problem.
I still can’t save rows or elements as templates.

ParticipantAnd it looks like I now have the latest version of the page builder- 6.4.
But still cannot save templates or elements.

ParticipantAnd I’ve done a plugin conflict test, and that doesn’t fix anything.

ParticipantI really need this fixed ASAP please, as this is the only thing stopping me from promoting my site and start to make sales.
I appreciate you’re all busy and it’s hard working from home, but the WPBakery Page Builder is a major feature of the theme and it’s not working properly!
THanks.

KeymasterHello bpotter,
So sorry for the delays. We are now back to normal schedule and no more outages in support are to be expected.
The actual WP Bakery version is 6.4.2, not 6.4
Also, could you please tell me Which version of WordPress do you have?
December 15, 2020 at 4:22 pm #27805bpotter
ParticipantNo problem. Sorry to be a hassle. Just one of those things where I”m so close to promoting the page everywhere, but this one small bug is stopping everything.
I now have WPBakery Builder 6.4.2 (but still having the problem).
My wordpress version is 5.6.
And the Refer theme version is 1.8.9.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Ben,
It turns to be a known WP Bakery Bug. It was fixed in v. 6.5 (released today). We will release an update with the latest WP Bakery Page Builder tomorrow.

ParticipantHello Dimitar,
Happy new year!
I can now save rows and elements, and they appear in the template menu. Although when I choose to insert them, they actually don’t appear in the page.
Unless I’m doing something wrong when saving.
I just want to make one common row a template so I can add it to every new page.

KeymasterCould you, please give us temporary admin access to check this? It works fine on our end with the latest WP Bakery.

KeymasterI have just tried on your website and it works absolutely fine. I was able to place “Page title” and “Free rendering” custom templates in your home page. Keep in mind when inserting templates they are always added on page bottom. This is how WP Bakery work.
