Do we have an option to remove the “widget_shopping_cart_content” (the first thing that appears when we add a product to the cart?) or is there any option to customize that.

Are you talking about the cart auto-opening when you add a product or something else? Please, explain more.

Yes, the cart auto opens when we add a product. Can we hide this or customize.

Yes, there is an option for this under Theme Options > Shop > Show Shopping Cart on Adding Product
