I have three questions about this page:

(1) On the checkout page, how do I change the checkout entries and mandatory fields? I tried making this change from the “customize-woocommerce-checkout” section, but it does not have the “Region (optional) field”. I then downloaded the woocommerce checkout plugin and tried to change certain values, but once again the one I am unable to change is the “Region (optional)” field. I need this to be mandatory since this field is what determines the shipping rate. How do I change this field and other fields?

(2) On the checkout page, how do I have it so the “choose different shipping address” is not selected by default?

(3) For the shipping options, how do I change the text that says “There are no shipping options available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.” I tried changing this from the “shipping” section of Woocommerce screen, but can’t make the change. I would like to have the text display different text if a region with no shipping options is entered.

Hi brickplaystudio,

1. This page and and it’s fields are not directly editable. It’s not theme related, it’s just how WooCommerce work. However, there are plugins which would allow you to edit the fields.

2. Again, not theme related. Those settings are located under WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Options

3. This text is only shown when the shipping address is outside your shipping area. It can’t be directly edited. You can use a plugin like Loco Translate to change the static string.
