    Hi,

    I am not sure that this is an issue with the Rigid theme but I am using the free Complianz GDPR Cookie Consent plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/complianz-gdpr/ and under the settings for the cookie banner you can set the display location and whether you have a soft cookie wall.

    If you set the display location as “Top” the cookie banner is obscured by the Collapsible Pre-Header section.

    If you set the soft cookie wall to on then the cookie banner is not displayed until you scroll to the bottom of the page at the footer section. This applies to all cookie banner display locations. Also, it is also only the footer section which is greyed out by the soft cookie wall.

    As the plugin developer would not have access to the Rigid Theme could you please give me an idea of where the issue would be so that I can communicate that to the plugin developer?

    Thank you.

    Hello zuyo,

    So sorry for the late reply. It looks like our anti-spam filter system somehow blocked some posts since the last week.

    Could you, please give us a link where we can see the problem “live”?

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hello zuyo,

    It looks like the z-indez assigned to your cookies panel is too low. You can fix it by adding the following code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

    .cmplz-soft-cookiewall {
        z-index: 10099;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hi Dimitar,

    Thank you for that quick response. The custom CSS code did solve the problem for the soft cookie wall.

    There is still the problem when the cookie banner is at the top of the screen being covered by the collapsible pre header section. Is that also due to the CSS? It can be seen at the same link given earlier.

    Best regards,
    Zuyo

    Hi Dimitar,

    I have just realised that it is only a problem when the Store Notice is enabled.

    Also, I am unlikely to put the cookie banner at the top of the page, so can you mark this support request as resolved?

    Thank you,
    Zuyo
