Is there a place in the Rigid theme options to insert Google Analytics code? For some reason I’m having issues with the traditional method of adding to header.php and don’t really want to install another plugin to help.

    Thanks!

    Hello ChromieHomie,

I am afraid no, as this is no more allowed by the new ThemeForest rules.

It’s best to use a google analytics plugin for that. Also, most of the SEO plugins would have such a field and you’re probably using one anyway.

Alternatively you may use the child theme and place the code in it’s header.php, but the recommended way to do it is with a plugin.

It’s odd, I did add the code to my header.php in the child theme, but analytics isn’t tracking any real-time activity. I’ve added it just below the first <body> tag. Any thoughts?

It’d take few hours for the Google Analytics to catch it. Check if the code is visible in the console and if it’s there, just wait few hours.
