ParticipantHi,
I am currently using the Zass theme with WC Vendors PRO plugin enabled. I am wanting to have a separate sidebar from the main shop (all products and vendors shown) to the individual vendor’s shop page.
Currently the theme has 1 sidebar set for “all woocommerce” pages. However, I need to be able to have a specific sidebar for the vendors shop page.
You have an option to create a custom sidebar, but no way to apply it specifically to a vendor’s page.
The issue at the moment is there is no attribute filter that is specific to the vendors shop. This is something that may occur in the future, but if I use the generic woocommerce sidebar setup, any filtering you do goes to the shop page.
I really need a solution to this ASAP please.
Regards,
Phillip

ParticipantIs it possible to not have the woocommerce sidebar to show on the product archive template?
WCVENDORS Pro advise they use the woocommerce hook to allow sidebar to be used on the product archive template?
Can you please advise how I could add code to allow to set a specific sidebar (even if I have to create one) and use it for the product archive template and then the standard woocoomerce sidebar for all other woocoomerce pages?
Regards,
Phillip

KeymasterHello Phillip,
No, I am afraid that would not be possible and it’s not theme related. It’s how WC Vendors work. They are using the same template used for the main shop page to display the single shop page.
Also, I am afraid there is no theme that can filter only the single shop products.
For the custom sidebar (and at least 1000 more reasons), it’s better to sue the WCFM or WC Marketplace as multi-vendor extension. WCFM offers custom sidebar for the shop page out of the box and for WC Marketplace we have a custom option for that.
WC Vendors and Dokan were the pioneers in multi-vendor plugins for WooCommerce, but today they are far-far away behind the competition.
In my opinion, right now the WCFM is just unbeatable. Even it’s FREE version offers more than the WC Vendors PRO, WC Marketplace PRO and Dokan PRO.

ParticipantHi,
Sorry this doesn’t quite fit right. So you say on themeforest that you are completely compatible with wcvendor, yet you essentially say above you are not?
This is misleading then. How can you make such bold claims and to be only be false?
Your theme sets the sidebar for all woocommerce pages. I even mentioned what part the app uses.
Instead of a blame game, what is this custom sidebar option you mention? Why is your theme built in such a way that it places the sidebar on all woocommerce pages?
Even if I went with the other plugin, it will still have this same issue

KeymasterHello Phillip,
There is nothing like a “blame game”. As I already explained, this is NOT theme related, it’s how WC Vendors work. It just can’t have a different sidebar, because it’s using the same template as the shop page.
The option I am talking about is that with WC Marketplace you can set a special sidebar specifically for the vendor shop, because they are not using the same template as the shop page. In the WCFM on the other hand, they have this option built in – no need for custom sidebar as the one we did for WC Marketplace.
