Unfortunately when I hower over the product images there is always an overlay with the prices. How can this be fixed?

The problem is the same as with the cart. You just have too much irrelevant information there that just can’t fit. There is a tax information, delivery information etc. It wasn’t meant to be used like that.

Is there any way how I can deactivate this function?

I am afraid no. The only option would be to change the position and show the buttons on the bottom part of the product holder with CSS, so they are always visible. Something like this:
