ParticipantWe try to install the main demo but get an error 500 message. It looks like half of the demo has been imported. We miss a lot of products (there are only 3 in them). Any idea what’s going wrong?

KeymasterHello RAJPannekeet,
500 is a server error. Most probably something wrong on your server configuration. Check if the safe mode is enabled by mistake.

ParticipantHello. Thanks for responding. The safe mode is not the issue. And we have discussed the server configuration with our hosting partners several times. Everythings seems fine.
It seems as if more demo-content is loading after refreshing the page after the 500 error occurs.
We’ve done this like 50 times now and more content is added every time. However… So far not all content and we would like to get started.
Is this a problem you are familiar with and what could we do to fix this?
Looking foreward to your respons.
Kind regards,

ParticipantSounds like a server timeout

KeymasterHello Roy Pannekeet,
As @opicron suggested, most probably a timeout issue. You’d need to either increase the PHP time limit OR run the import several times until all images are imported, as they are the heaviest resource in the demo.

KeymasterHello Roy Pannekeet,
If you give us temporary admin access to your site, we can try to investigate what could be wrong for you.

KeymasterI can see 2 main problems there:
1. MySQL-versie: 5.5.30 – Wij adviseren een minimum MySQL-versie 5.6. Bekijk: WordPress vereisten
2. You have some redirect set on that siteAs it’s a 500 error (server related error) I’d suggest something wrong with your server settings or user privileges. However, upgrading your MySQL version is a MUST in order to run wordpress 5.6 and WooCommerce.

ParticipantHello!
Unfortunately the demo is still not imported. We’ve deleted the redirect and contacted our hosting partner regarding the MySQL version.
According to them their platform is using the most recent version of MariaDB. MySQL is currently only delivered on packages that still run on our old platform. From what they see, they are not responsible for these server errors.
So I’m not sure what to do know… I bought the theme approximately a month ago and so far we have been struggling. I don’t understand how this could be so hard, since I bought all the software in the previous month and therefor it should be updated to a level we could work with.
The main reason we bought the template is for the foodmenu. So far we’ve imported some products, but the menu was never a part of the import. Therefor I have the following question(s):
1. Is there anything you could do to import the full demo with the response of our hosting partner taken into account?
2. Is there another way to import the foodmenu? In that case (not preferred) we will try to build the website ourself without the demo.Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards,
Roy Pannekeet

KeymasterHello Roy Pannekeet,
Actually 5.5.3 is definitely not the latest MariaDB version and the system clearly says that it is not compatible with WordPress and WooCommerce. Check under WooCommerce > Status. It’s marked in red. This is not theme related. These are the minimum requirements of WordPress and WooCommerce.
Versioning
MariaDB 5.5.30 Release Notes – MariaDB Knowledge Base
mariadb.com › mariadb-5530-release-notes
Release date: 12 Mar 2013The current stable version is MariaDB 10.5
Unfortunately, there is no other way to import the demo. You’d need a WordPress compatible server.
To be completely honest, the best advice I can give you is to move to a proper host (SiteGround for example have data centers in Amsterdam, so it would be perfect for your needs). You can even find a discount code in our deals & coupons page:
