ParticipantHello,
I sell chicken wings by weight and wanted some help in listing them correctly on my website.
For example
Mango habanero Wings
1/4kg $5
1/2kg $8
1KG $15How can I list this as a product without a main price and still allow the customer to select the weight options they prefer
I did try this by listing the price of the main product in woocommerce at 0, however this then shows the product price as 0 in the menu. Is there a way to maybe have it indicate as $5-$15 instead?

KeymasterHi ravneet,
Not really sure exactly what do you mean. Could you please explain more? Exactly where would you like to list the prices? Do you need something like this?

KeymasterIn this case you just need to enable variations in listings. The easiest way to see how it works is to check the demo products in pizza category. For each variation you have the option to show it in the listings.

ParticipantBut I did not load the pizza demo, I loaded the burger demo, so I am confused with what you have just said on how to achieve the variations, the documentation is scanty with this info too.
If I could get an example of how to do it once creating the product, that would be awesomethank you

Participantfigured it out, however I get a drop down menu instead of buttons like in the pizza demo, how can I get buttons, or is that theme dependant?

ParticipantAlso, how can i achieve combo setup like this?
when running a combo, does the stock reduce from a global stock, or only from stock setup in that particular combo?

Participant
This is my product page for reference
I would like to know if I can track stock for addon item like brownies on this page
Also, if you go to the sides page, you will see demo data of mozzarella sticks which i cant get rid off, this item is not even in the woocommerce product list so i do not know where it isI am sorry for spamming the thread with back to back questions, I realised you respond once a day and I may as well put all my questions and issues here for you to respond to once.
Thank you

KeymasterHi ravneet,
1. You just need to set the attribute type to “label”, not dropdown in the attribute settings.
2. You can’t track the stock for the addons. They are not real products, so they can’t have stock management. If you use combo products, then you can track the stock, as they are real products in the combo. When a product is part of a combo, it’s stock will be reduced globally.
You can read how combo products work here:

Participant1. where? I applied the attributes to individual products, because when I apply it on a global level, it does not appear under the product at all

Participantso its not possible to have a variable product with combos? Basically that is what I want to achieve

KeymasterIt is absolutely possible to have variable products in a combo, as you can see on the demo. As for the global attributes – there is no reason why they would not work.
