Hi,

If I test the loading speed of a blank page e.g. histreetdelivery.com/speed-test/ I still get a low score on google pagespeed (~70 on desktop and ~45 on mobile). Are there any ways to speed up the theme? Perhaps some settings where I can turn some things off?

That would depend on many factors. The biggest ones are the hosting quality and the page content/structure. Installed plugins and their loaded assets would also greatly affect it especially analytics and social media related.

Hi,

I actually uninstalled WP Bakery and found a lot of performance improvement. I then realised that my version of WP Bakery is version 6.4 when the latest is version 6.6.1

However I cannot update without buying a WP Bakery License. Their website says ‘If you got WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer) by purchasing WordPress theme this does not grant you with a direct license for WPBakery Page Builder’ here https://support.wpbakery.com/support/topic/29.

Is there away to update my WP Bakery version without needing to buy a license?

The WP Bakery Page builder and Slider Revolution are so-called “bundled plugins”. They are fully functional and doesn’t require activation. However, you don’t own a separate license and you can’t have automatic updates. New versions of the plugins are shipped with theme updates.

If you have the latest version of the theme, navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins in the admin area and you’ll find the latest plugin versions.
