There is a little menu next to the search icon at the top of the page, ALSO, it appears on the category pages and other pages. when pressed this then pops out a menu. How do I disable this menu all together —

Hello pdwatermelon,

You just need to unset the sidebar for the Off Canvas widget area under Theme Options > Sidebars.

Also, make sure there are no widget in the Off Canvas sidebar under Appearance > Widgets.
