Hi there. The social icons in my header, and account icon in my menu bar are not displaying correctly. Here are some recent changes I made before realizing the issue:

– upgraded to php 8.0 – this is actually when i first noticed it, and so reverted back to 7.4. It seemed reverting back fixed the problem upon first browser refresh, but on the second produced what you see currently. And that’s how it’s been since and I stayed on 7.4.
– installed Smush and applied default compression to site images
– installed Hummingbird for site performance

These are the only real changes I’ve made. And I’m 98% certain the issue happened with the php back-and-forth.

Hi ChromieHomie,

It’s most probably related to Hummingbird. I guess you’re using too aggressive caching and minifying settings. Also, Hummingbird is pretty well known for causing such problems with premium themes. I’d suggest using another performance optimization plugin with better control (e.g. combination of WP SuperCache and Autoptimize. this is what we use).

The theme is tested with PHP 8 and it works absolutely fine. However, not all plugins on the market are PHP 8x compatible, so it’s better to stick to 7.4 if you are not sure.
