ParticipantDear Althemist,
I have noticed that on Chrome and Safari, a grey box with no text is appearing when I hover over links. I have assumed that it might be a title attribute but with no content showing in the box (??).
Is there a JQuery that I can use to prevent the mouseover from happening within the theme?
Kind regards
Iain

KeymasterHello Iain,
I am afraid we can’t just guess what are you talking about. Please, provide more information and a link whee we can see the problem/grey box “live”.

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
Link below. It grey boxes appear after about 0.5 seconds on hover.
Kind regards

ParticipantUPDATE:
Looking at the menu structures, there appears to be some ‘hidden’ code(?) within the title attributes. After selecting this (it is selectable but not visible), the grey mouseover box disappeared on those that I tried it on.
Please can you let me know what was in the title attributes field on the menu items, and was it necessary for the theme to function?
Kind regards
Iain

KeymasterHello Iain,
Checking your site now and can’t see any “grey boxes” on hover in any browser.
Can’t really tell where the title attribute of the a-tag comes from. You can see there is no title attribute in the theme demo unless you manually add some text (or even empty space) in the “Title attribute” field for each menu item.

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
Thank you for your response. I uploaded the theme onto a new site just to check it in its raw state (i.e. no adjustments or edits made by me). The grey boxes did appear on mouseover and there is something (unknown) that is filling the title attributes within the menu structure – this causes the grey boxes to appear on mouseover.
I’ve found a way to fix it (delete the ‘hidden’ text in the title attributes field on Appearance//Menus) but may be something that other users may find helpful to know about.
Kind regards
Iain

KeymasterCould be some plugin you have, as it’s definitely not theme related.

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
Definitely not plugin related (tested a fresh upload of the demo on a fresh WP site with no edits or plugins). However, the issue is fixed by clearing the ‘hidden’ title attribute ‘text/code/unknown’.
Thank you for your help.
