    I currently would like to know how to edit a few design elements on our site from this theme. Please advise how to do:

    1) Edit/decrease the spacing above and below header/subheader text, etc. There is a lot of white space between many elements on the homepage, category page, and product detail page
    example link: http://printedtents.com/product-category/table-covers/

    2) Edit menu text size (the menu text runs too far)

    3) The menu on the product detail page loads different in spacing than the rest of the site, is there a way to fix this?

    4) Gray decorative background on the product detail page does not show up compared to a product detail page of an original sample product

    Thank you!

    Hi mmart621,

    1. Could you, please be more specific and provide more details? Exactly which spaces you’d need to reduce?

    2. The menu text size can be edited in Theme Options > Header Settings

    3. It’s not the menu size actually. It looks like for the products you have header size set to Standard, while for the other pages you have it set to fullwidth. This can only happen if:

    3.1. – you’re using the demo products as a base

    OR

    3.2. – you have the products improted from external file.

    You’d need to make sure the header size is set to “default” in every product edit page (the right column)

    4. In the demo page, there is a product cover image applied, while on your site there is no image set. This image is set individually for every product. It’s presented by default. On the link you provide the product just have a dummy image applied for product cover.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hi mmart621,

    1) It loos=ks absolutely normal to me. You have category description text and filter area enabled. There is no excessive white and it just can’t be reduced. All this information need space to be displayed.

    3) I am afraid I really don’t understand. What do you mean by “menu runs”? “Logo runs”? Please, explain more.

    4) This is not theme related. It’s a core WooCommerce functionality.

    Under Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product images you can set image size a crop type for your product images. Recommended settings can be found in the theme documentation.

    However, keep in mind that in order to work properly ALL your images must be the same aspect ratio and be large enough to be cropped – e.g. If you set 600px for the product page and 400px for the catalog, ALL your original images must be at least 600px.

    Waiting for more information on p. (3

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hi mmart621,

    This is what I see on your page and I am checking it from a really small laptop display:

    What device (OS/Browser/Screen Resolution) are you using? Please, give me more details, so I can replicate what you see and understand the problem.

    Basically there are only 50px of white space on title top and bottom:

    As you can see there is not much space to be elliminated there.

    However, if you insist to do this, you can use the following code on your own responsibility:

    .refer_title_holder .inner {
        padding-top: 20px;
        padding-bottom: 20px;
    }

    Still waiting to seeing more about the first problem.

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    You can reduce the space by half with the following CSS:

    .term-description {
        padding-bottom: 30px;
        margin-bottom: 30px;
    }
    .product-filter {
        margin-bottom: 30px;
    }

    Also, it looks like you have active widget area in the filters zone, but it’s empty. You can either disable it in Theme Options > Sidebars OR set it to be closed by default in Theme Options > Shop.

    For the header issues:

    It looks like the header size is set to “standard” in Theme Options > Header Area. Make sure it’s set to “Fullwidth” in Theme Options > Header Area

    Hope this helps.

    1) Which widget to disable? Do not see it in the location you mentioned (possibly due to theme version not latest update?)?

    2) Where to input the custom CSS to decrease the spacing? (Sorry have not done custom coding in WP before)

    3) What is the easiest way to make all product images in category page uniform (all the same size). For example, all contained into the same dimension rectangular holder? Currently it is all jumbled in sizing:

    Thank you

    Hello mmart621,

    1. Under Appearance > Widgets make sure there are no widgets assigned to sidebar named “Product Filters Sidebar”.

    2. You can insert the CSS in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS or in the child theme’s style.css if you are using it.

    3. In order to have equal images, your original images must have the same aspect ratio AND also they must be big enough to be resized according to the settings used in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product images. Also in order to have all images the same size you’d need to enable crop in the same place. This is not even theme related. It’s a core WooCommerce functionality and it works the same with any theme.

    Hi mmart621,

    1. You can change the gallery type in Theme Options > Shop tab. (choose WooCommerce Default Gallery)

    2. No, I am afraid that’s not possible and it’s not theme related. That’s how WooCommerce work.

    Dimitar

    Hi mmart621,

    Bottom-right is the industry standard as it’s the most convenient placement for most users. It’s called “right thumb navigation” as most users are using their right thumb o operate on a mobile phone. On the left side it would interfere with other layout elements and this theme can’t have it in the header (top position).

    The only way to change the position will be with custom CSS.
