ParticipantHi Dimitar,
Thanks a tonne for your wonderful support on the past queries. Really appreciate the approach you follow for the same.
Just another thing i would need your help in.
How do i get the dimensions of the placeholder images/backgrounds? – for normal images i have been doing the “copy image address” then checking the root and checking on the image size in the image specification section in the media gallery and doing an image replace. Is this the right methodology to follow?
For background images i cant use that approach as the copy image address is not available for it. So since your theme is based on a responsive platform, i want to follow the same size for background and foreground images basis your theme – for example the homepage slider (Which i am using in my current homepage) which is set has a left and right section under each slider section, figured it was to incorporate the responsive layout as only one side of the slider in your demo is populated, in case i use a full width image option, i am sure i would have problems with it displaying on the mobile phone.
Hence, how could i get to adapt images on the slider as per the responsive layouts you have pre set in your theme, thereby understanding the dimensions of background/fore ground images.
Thanks a tonne in advance – Looking forward.
Regards,
Vaibhav (Laagom)

KeymasterHello Vaibhav,
Not really sure what do you mean.
The recommended image sizes for the products are listed in the theme documentation. As for the sliders and age titles, it would depend on the layouts you use and the specific place. If you can show me exactly which images and background you ask for, I’d be able to give you better directions.

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
If you see the page ecular.in
The home page has a slider – the slider has a background image and a foreground image (Currently it is a text image), so basically this image size works really well as when i see the same on my mobile – i can see the entire image, as only half of the screen width is used in the slider for the fore ground image – If i use a full width image, the response on my mobile i will get a cropped image. Hence wanted to know how do i get the image sizes used, in the slider.
Also wanted to know how do i get the sizes for example the image used in the dropdown menu, in “The Shop”
And how do i change the page loading animation and icon.
Thank You.

Vaibhav

KeymasterThe image we use as a background of the slide is 1920×715. However, keep in mind that when used as a backround the image will always try to cover the entire area, no matter what the screen size is, so it’s important to put the sensitive images near the center.
Alternatively, if you want a trully responsive slider that looks the same on any device, you may use the Revolution Sldier plugin. It’s included with the theme for free.
The image we use in the menu is 317x367px as this is the maximum width for a column in 5-columns mega menu.
The page loading animation would require some serious modifications in both the the CSS and the header.php template, so the best way to do this would be with a child-theme. That woudl require some serious CSS and PHP/HTML knowledge, though.
Hope this helps.
