Hello i’ve noticed with variable products the order now button brings up the lightbox and details. It is a simple text link.

When the product is simple, we get a “order” button with a red background and no lightbox.

Is there a way I can have the order button look all the same / in the same style for both simple and variable products? If not could we make simple products also bring up the lightbox so everything works uniformly?

Hello mohakem,

Actually it’s the opposite.

Only variable products can have the red button and that’s ONLY IF the variation is marked to be available on product listings. All simple products would open the lightbox. If you want the variable products to do the same, just disable the checkbox for each variation.

Hello I think there is a mis-understanding. Please see picture below.

You can see that the “vegan chips” are a simple product and has a red button. I wish for this to be simply the same style as the text “order now”.

Alternatively I could have the “order now” text replaced with the “Order” button.

I just want all of the “order” buttons to look uniform. If I check the “show in catalog” box then the product listing becomes messy, with the addition of the “more options” link.

Can you suggest any solution?

Hello mohakem,

This looks like a custom solution or a third-party plugin on your site, so we can’t really help. There is no such “list” in our theme design. You’d probably need to consult with your plugin developer OR force-re-style the button with some custom CSS.
