ParticipantHello,
We have a problem with the product gallery. We have the default wordpress gallery selected but the thumbnails shows up like gallery images, not as thumbnails. We tried to set up the settings in Customize -> Woocommerce -> Product Photos but it seems like it never saved. Could you please help?January 12, 2022 at 12:21 pm #32727Althemist
KeymasterHi support-5134,
Not really sure what do you mean by “the thumbnails shows up like gallery images”. Could you, please give us a link where we can see the problem “live”.

KeymasterThat’s definitely not the normal functionality of the theme. The images there must be up to 100px while on your site they are 1024px. Do you have some additional plugin related to product images?

ParticipantNo, we don’t use any extra plugin for product images.

KeymasterCould you, please give us temporary admin access, so we can check what could be wrong?

KeymasterHi support-5134,
We have checked your website and succesfully changed the WooCommerce Product images sizes. The thumbnail regeneration is in progress now. However, I don’t think this is the problem. It’s probably caused by some of your WooCommerce related plugins.
Another possible option would be if you uploaded your images via FTP and not via WordPress media library.
However, we noticed that the images now look just fine (they are still 1024 px, though, which is not good)
BTW, we also noticed you are using the WooCommerce product variation swatches. You don’t need it, as the theme comes with it’s own variation swatches functionality.

ParticipantHello,
No, the product images size is not changed. If you go back to see it, you will see that the settings have been lost. We had exactly the same problem. When we go to set up the image sizes, it seems to work, but when we close the customize tab (after saving of course) and go over again, the thumbnail width is 0 and the thumbnail cropping empty.
Also, we noticed that in your demo, on the product catalogue the product images are resized. In our website there is no resize on the featured image and we need that too.

KeymasterYes, that’s exactly what I was talking about. It’s probably some plugin creating a conflict, as the theme itself works absolutely fine. We tested on several different installations and everything is OK.

ParticipantHello again! We deactivated all the plugins except from babystreet and woocommerce. The problem with the image resizing in product catalogue works. but in the product the gallery still has problem!

KeymasterThere are still problems with the images sizes. Also, there are some broken parts in the site structure (e.g the header and search form).
I’d suggest trying to disable the child theme (activate the original theme). It’s probably something in your child theme that’s not set correctly.

ParticipantThe search bar is not a bug. We wanted to add it there. We deactivated the child theme but the problem still remains! So the problem didn’t caused from the child theme. What we should do now?

KeymasterAs far as I can see the child theme is still active and you keep installing new plugins before the problem is found. I am afraid this wouldn’t work. In order to catch what’s causing the problem you’d need to do it on a clean installation and start searching from there.
Also, it looks like at the moment the gallery works fine on your site for this product: https://juniorshoes.wdesign.gr/product/tommy-hilfiger-%cf%80%ce%b1%ce%b9%ce%b4%ce%b9%ce%ba%ce%bf-slide-sandal/
