    Hello,

    Website URL: https://thecuriousconsumer.com/

    1. The ‘Register’ button in the My Account icon drop down does not work.

    I was speaking to Dokan support to remove the ‘I am a vendor’ option and realised that the Register button does not even work. They mentioned that, “The issue is related to the theme. You will need to use proper code on the theme to make it work properly.” – Could someone please help fix this? (Although it does work when customers register in the My Account page.)

    2. My mega menu seems to cut off right now, as you can see here when you hover over ‘Shop’: https://thecuriousconsumer.com/ and screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/3FrlksF – how can we fix this?

    3. When viewed in mobile, the products in the up-sell / ‘You May Also Like’ section shows up like this with empty spaces (as you can see here: https://imgur.com/a/pvciHRp), same goes to the cross-sell / ‘You May Be Interested In’ section in the View Basket page – any idea why and possible to fix? *Note: This happens randomly so I cannot provide a link to the specific product.

    Have not heard back from you guys in a few days – hope to resolve these issues asap.

    Thanks! Appreciate your help.

    Hello catherinelum,

    I have just successfully registered a new account on your site. The only problem there is the password length. Most probably your site doesn’t allow using “weak” passwords and it doesn’t work until you enter stronger password.

    This is definitely not theme related.

    The account section in the header is just the same as the one on my account page. It’s the same shortcode used on the my account page, so there is nothing that should “use proper code on the theme to make it work properly”.

    For the other questions, I have already answered in your other topic.

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    I’ve just tried registering again and it’s still not working using the Register tab in the My Account dropdown. FYI, you’re able to register in the My Account page (here: https://thecuriousconsumer.com//my-account/) but not in the dropdown.

    Here’s how you may duplicate the issue:

    1. Go to https://thecuriousconsumer.com/
    2. Hover over the My Account icon next to Wishlist
    3. A drop down will appear with the option to Login or Register: https://imgur.com/a/tbRzNlZ
    4. Click Register tab
    5. Fill in details
    6. Click Register button

    Nothing happens when you click on Register. I’ve checked with my host server and they mentioned that it is a “script error” but I’m not sure what that means. Is there anything you can do to fix this please?

    Really appreciate your help.

    Here is the exact error we received:

    An invalid form control with name=’fname’ is not focusable.

    (index):1 An invalid form control with name=’lname’ is not focusable.

    (index):1 An invalid form control with name=’shopname’ is not focusable.

    (index):1 An invalid form control with name=’shopurl’ is not focusable.

    (index):1 An invalid form control with name=’phone’ is not focusable.

    mailchimp-woocommerce-public.min.js?ver=2.1.17:1 mailchimp.handle_billing_email.request.success {“success”:true,”email”:”test1234@test.com”,”previous”:null,”cart”:[]}

    I’ve also spoken to WooCommerce support and they can’t seem to fix this either 🙁

    They mentioned that it is some sort of theme functionality added to the header (which is awesome), so hope you guys would know the fix.

    Hello catherinelum,

    it looks like you’re using another theme at the moment, so we can’t really check. As for the error – it looks like a problem with some sort of mailchimp integration that you have on your site.

    As you can see on our demo the registration works absolutely fine.

    Hello,

    It must’ve been our server host investigating the issue by switching themes – I’ve now switched back to using the Rigid child theme and deactivated the Mailchimp plugin, the Register button still doesn’t work.

    Could you please check now?

    Hope you can figure out what the issue is and fix it *fingers crossed*

    Thanks a lot.

    Also could you please take a look at this: https://www.loom.com/share/ca33f0b9be964fe9a4d3b2d4f081bcd4

    Vendors can’t view order details in their Vendor Dashboard (screenshot here for Order #10211: https://imgur.com/a/MTFUQT0), but when we switched themes it seems to work (as per the video in the link above). Could this be some sort of a theme conflict?

    You may also log in using the admin login in the replies above (‘admin’ is also a ‘vendor’) and go to https://thecuriousconsumer.com/dashboard/orders/ to view any of the orders.

    FYI, we’re using the Dokan multivendor plugin.

    Thanks again.

    Hello catherinelum,

    the reason for the errors and registration not working properly is this:

    We can’t tell what’s causing it. Most probably incompatibility between Dokan and your other plugins OR some customizations you made on your site.

    As for the order details – the reason is your custom CSS in Appearance > Customizer > Additional CSS. The order info is there, but for some reason you are hiding it with CSS.

    .dokan-panel-body {
        display: none !important;
    }

    Keep in mind that third-party plugin customization is out of the scope of theme support. It’s not theme related and we can’t provide help with this. With the original theme code and original plugin code everything works absolutely fine.

    Removed the CSS and order details are showing perfectly.

    For the registration, is it possible to disable the dropdown function and have the icon go straight to the link: https://thecuriousconsumer.com/my-account/ so customer may register or login there?

    You’ve been really helpful – thanks a bunch!

    No, I am afraid you can’t remove the drop down only. You can completely remove the icon and place Login/Register link in some menu (top bar menu, main menu, footer menu etc.)

    However, you’d need to find what’s causing the error in dokan-lite/templates/global/seller-registration-form.php instead of trying to disable the header login, as it may lead to many other problems.
