I have purchased your Lafka theme yesterday and greatly admire the convenience. I have the following doubts,kindly clarify:
1. Is it possible to hide the product category menu totally.
2. The products added to the Restaurant Menu Entry is not showing in the product page. Is the any possibility to add them to the products directly and make them appear in both places like products and in Restaurant Menu Entry?
3. There is no child theme, How to Install a child theme.
4. What plugin do you recommend for Customer address auto adding to the checkout page?
5. Do you have any recommendations for otp verification plugin to confirm COD orders by customers.

Overall a great theme. Will you be open for any suggestions based on our real life experience with your theme.

Hello Vivek,

1. Yes, you can simply disable the Main menu and only use the two top menus

2. Restaurant menu items are NOT products and can’t be ordered online. The restaurant menu is a static menu list. If you need purchaseble products, you’d need to use WooCommerce products.

3. The child theme can be found in the main download package (download full package, not just the “installable wordpress theme)

4. Not really sure what do you mean by “address auto adding to the checkout page”. Please, explain more.

5. No, I am afraid we can’t recommend an OTP verification plugin, as we never used one. It’s just too far from the scope of theme development.

Yes, we are always open for suggestions and feature requests, as long as they are possible to implement and serve large enough group of customers, not just edge cases.

Thanks for your reply in return.
Regarding our communications, we have done the following based on your recommendation;
1. Disabled the main menu.
2. Noted the same.
3. Child theme successfully installed.
4. Something like this plugin (https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-google-address-auto-complete/26141169)
5. We will test a couple and advise/share good ones.

Suggestions:
1. Can you please add “Back to top” feature as a floating icon, so the customer is able to go to the top of the page immediately?
2. Can the Nutritional Information in the product page be dynamic, For example: Is it possible to increase/change the values based on any addition of sauces/toppings etc. Because it will changes as we add different toppings / sauces / change size of pizza etc.

Hi Vivek,

1. Basically, we can add a scroll-to-top functionality, but it was something we intentionally removed because of the special mobile layout and to be honest, it’s not so popular in the last 1-2 years. The easiest way would be to just use a plugin like this:

2. I am afraid no. The nutrition guide is static and can’t be affected by addons, product variations etc.

2. Nutrition guide: If its static, then the whole reason to use it is pointless? Is it possible for me to avail a refund as this is very important feature we need for our website (healthy paleo restaurant)

What are the short codes Lafka product addons? where do we find them?

Hello Vivek,

No, I am afraid that’s not a valid reason for refund. The theme functions exactly the way it is shown in the demo. We never claimed the nutrition guide can be used with dynamic data like variations or addons.

Not really sure what do you mean by “short codes Lafka product addons”. The addons are not shorcode-based. They are integrated with the woocommerce products. Here is the theme documentation regarding addons:

Thanks for reaching out. Our intention to purchase your theme was the flexibility it offered through Lafka addons and a separate product variation called Lafka Nutrition facts ( which is important for our use). This was one of our main attraction towards your theme. Since there is not backend demo given from the development team, We assumed that it will be taken care even for addon’s.

Yes, we agree that you haven’t claimed the nutrition facts/guide was not dynamic but it has to be. However,its very important requirement for our need because of the nature of our business (Diet foods).
