hi, i have a little problem with displaying products. Besides photos and price, you can also see the short description from outside, I would like to remove it. how can I do?
I see that in the demo of the Babystreet theme you don’t see the short description, I would like it that way.

It looks like you’re using an old version of the theme (you have 1.2.9 while the actual one is 1.3.1). You’d need to update to the latest version.

And how do I update the theme? On the wordpress dashboard it doesn’t tell me that there are updates to be performed

You can’t have automatic updates vie WP dashboard for premium themes. The easiest way would be with the official Envato Market plugin. It’s available in the theme pack under Appearance > Install plugins.

Also, note that after the theme update, you’d also need to update the theme plugin (BabyStreet plugin), also available under Appearance > Install Plugins menu.

hello, I updated the theme but when I go to themes and click on the details of the child babystreet theme (that’s what I use) it says “version 1.0” while in the parent babystreet theme it says 1.3.1 (not active). Sorry but I’m a beginner.
however, the problem of displaying the brief description in the products (from the shop page) is not solved.

Child themes never update, so their version never changes.

For the other problem, could you, please provide temporary admin access to your site, so we can check what could be wrong?

however I used the child theme because in the various guides and tutorials it was recommended to work with the child theme. so if I activate the parent theme and do the update do I have to continue to customize that?

Hello erbesso,

You can give us the admin credentials here by using the “set as private reply” checkbox. You don’t need to activate the parent theme. Just do not update the child theme or you’d lose the changes. Child theme are never updated, so there is no need to replace their files.

I have just checked your website. The theme is the latest version and there are no product descriptions displayed in the product lists.

This is probably caused by your Grid/List view plugin. It’s not part of the theme and not the default WooCommerce behavior. I’d suggest removing that plugin. It doesn’t even work.
