Not sure whats caused this. When I go to increase the quantity to place an order on the product page it adds 2 eac time rather than 1( rather than qty 1 2 3 4 it would go 1 3 5 7 9, adding 2 each time. There is also a second “X” shown in the top right of my basket, not sure if that is related?

    Hi pointystick,

I have just checked your website. Everything seems fine to me. I was able to choose 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc. products

Hi, sorry I fixed it for now. I had added lafka-front to my child theme because when I inspected the page it showed an error it could not find this file in my child theme when I inspected the code. I think this may have been what caused this as after I removed this from the child theme it worked. The error however is back, is there any way to fix this?

I am afraid I can’t tell what’s causing it. It looks like you have quite a lot of modifications and there are some problems with them. This never happen with the original theme.

Hi sorry, to question this, but the only modifications to the child theme are 2 buttons added to the checkout and a change of text? Nothing to do with JS or anything extensive like that. The Lafka-front.js missing error has been there since the child theme was created (before I edited it) but I didn’t report it because when I added it to the child theme it fixed the error. Now I have removed it again, the error is back, but it would be there even if the child theme was unedited, so what could cause this?

Basically if you make a child theme with no edits, I’m 99% sure it would still show this error because its not falling back to the original themes lafka-front.js file and is searching for one in the child theme. Is this correct? I thought it worked on the basis of falling back to the original theme?

If I am wrong, I apologise but I wanted to check.

    Thanks

You should NOT copy the lafka-front.js there unless you need to make changes there. It’s just a reference in the child theme in case you need it. Otherwise it falls back to the parent theme file.

If this is the case, the problem could be caused by some of your additional plugins. You may try to switch them on by one and find which one is casing the problem.

BTW, I have just checked your site again and everything works absolutely fine. Try hard refreshing your browser (Ctrl + F5) and see if the problem persists. Also, if using some kind of caching plugin, make sure it’s fully compatible with WooCommerce.

Thanks so much for coming back to me. Yes everything is working fine on the front end, its still showing that js error in console but it doens’t seem to effect anything. I will have a dig around and see if I can find what plugin is causing it.

Thanks again, I have really been asking a lot of questions of you guys, you have been very patient and have helped me immensely.
