Will the Pizza restaurant get order notifications via their phone?

Not seeing this via the documentation:

    WOOCOMMERCE ORDER PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Lafka another crucial feature for Online Food Ordering websites – Instant Push Notifications popup with sound allert for new orders. It works accross all browsers on Desktop and Chrome on Android.

With Lafka Fast Food theme you’ll never miss a new order and your clients will be served as fast as possible.
This feature doesn’t have settings other than turning it ON/OFF

In order to Receive notifications about new orders, you’d need to turn this feature ON under Theme Options > Shop tab. Please note that your site needs to be running on secure connection (SSL enabled with HTTPS protocol).

Make sure notifications are allowed on your browser settings. If so, you’ll be prompted to recieve notifications from your own site. You’d need to allow them in your browser. Now, as long as browser is opened, even in background mode (using another app on your device or your phone is locked you will receive notifications with sound for every new order. Keep in mind that in order to save server resources, the system checks for new orders every 30 seconds, so allow some time when testing.

    Hello vinnyspizzajoint,

These are PUSH notifications, so they would be received in the phone/tablet/pc browser. They are not related to the actual phone number. You’d just need to enter the website admin area using your preferred device and allow notifications when prompted to do so.

    Hope this helps.

We are testing push notifications, we are having issues getting logged out. Site notifications, such as google sitemaps & jetpack, are cluttering up our mobile dashboard. Closing a notification logs us out. No popup or sound notifications are coming through.

    Hello vinnyspizzajoint,

I am afraid dashboard notifications are not theme related, so we can’t really help with this. It’s how your plugins work. The push notifications are coming directly on your device, not in the dasshboard. On a desktop you’d need to keep the admin open (no matter which page in admin) and on a mobile, you don’t even need to have the browser open in order to get the nitifications. You’d be prompted to allow the notifications in the browser itself, not in the admin dashboard.

As for the logout problem, it sounds like there are some server configuration issues with your site, which is way out of the scope of the theme support.

We did enable notifications, but there were no sound or popups. Does the store operator need to stay logged into the site to receive the order push notification? Sorry if this is already listed in the theme support. Could not find that topic here.

    Hello vinnyspizzajoint,

Yes, you’d need to stay logged in. The browser may be closed or minimized, but you’d need to be logged in. This way the notifications would come just like any other app or service notification (e.g. notifications from Google, Gmail, Twitter etc.)

    Hope this helps.

One possible reason for not getting the notifications could be if there is something wrong with your WordPress installation or server environment as the logout on closing notifications suggest.

Should you have more questions, just let us know.

    Regards,
    Dimitar
