ParticipantHi,
I’ve searched the documentation and support forum to find out an answer to why shop manager notifications are not working. I’m using a chrome browser and enabled popups and browser notifications but still not getting any push notifications. What could be the possible reasons for this issue?
Thank youMay 24, 2022 at 11:25 am #33892Althemist
KeymasterHi sarawsmn,
Are the push notifications enabled under Theme Options > Shop > New Orders Push Notifications?
Also, keep in mind your store must be running on SSL in order to use this feature.

ParticipantYes, I do have SSL, the New Orders Push Notifications is active, I have an assigned branch manager logged in, chrome allows notifications but nothing pops up.

KeymasterThat’s really strange. Could you, please give us temporary admin access and also give us the branch manager account so we can check what could be wrong.

KeymasterOuch… I am afraid that would be nearly impossible for us. Could you please temporarily switch the account to use English instead of the main site language?

KeymasterYes, I saw the configuration.
I have made a test order and the push notifications work absolutely fine. Tried on Desktop, but it would be the same on mobile.
There are several possible reasons for the problem
On Desktop, if using Windows – check the Focus Assist for notifications center
On mobile (Android) check if the Google App and Chrome App permissions allow notifications

ParticipantYOU SOLVED IT! It was the focus assistant! I didn’t even know the option existed … to be fair I’m new to windows 🙂
really appreciate your kind and quick help.May 26, 2022 at 12:07 pm #33926Althemist
KeymasterJust noticed another problem.
It looks like you have changed the default WooCommerce status for new orders from “Processing” to “On Hold”.
The algorithm checks for new orders with status “Processing” every 30 seconds and sends a notification if there are new.
We got the notification because I changed the status to Processing. You’d need to set that to default in WooCommerce settings in order for notifications to work. This is the way WooCommerce work.
