    Dear Support,

    I need to activate the child theme, but I have already created menus, pages etc. using the parent theme.
    When I deactivate the parent theme and activate the child theme, will it keep all the pages and menus I’ve created in the parent theme? Or will I lose everything?

    Thanks
    Belinda

    Hello belinda,

    already answered in your other topic. 🙂

    You should NOT deactivate the parent theme! Activate the child-theme while the parent theme is still active. Yes, all pages, menus etc. will be preserved.

    Thanks Dimitar I really appreciate it 🙂

    I have one more question;

    I did that as you said, but when I go back to the themes folder, it still shows the parent theme as being active,
    and the child theme still shows the “activate” button.

    Do I need to refresh permalinks?

    Thanks again
    Belinda

    Nope. You just need to click on the activate button for the child theme. If it’s still not active, please give us temporary admin access to your site, so we can check what could be wrong.
