ParticipantHi Dimitar,
We’ve had added “Recently View Products” Rigid Shortcode at the Home Page, right under the ‘Welcome to Yiassu”. And is not showing up on the frontend! I understand that this short code might need time to collect infor of anyonme visiting and seeing products before its start showing them at the frontend (right?), but i openign a lot of pages and products…. and yet is not showing me nothing.
Can you please help figuring this out? Is there something wrong with the shortcode or?From what i understand, this Rigid Shortcode is the only option to show customers their own recently viewed products, right? WC shortcodes etc… are for the ‘Recent Products’, meaning the recently added products. Isn’t that right?
Many thanks in advance.

ParticipantI’ve solved it Dimitar. Sorry for the trouble. I just saw a previous ticket here how to create an “idle” sidebar, add WC RVP in it and then voila! Your shortcode works on the home page!
Thanks!

ParticipantHouston we have a problem!! 🙂
Recently Viewed Products are not displaying on mobile!!! On PC, they show just fine, but NOT on mobile!
On mobile, i can see only the title BUT no products underneath it! Thought im not on incognito mode and i’ve clicked on several products and still, when navigating to the home make, there’s nothing under the RVP!!
What’s wrong you think?Yiannos

KeymasterThey are not visible on desktop too. Most probably caused by your caching system. It’s a dynamic content and can’t be shown on cached pages. It’s a known problem and most of the caching plugins have their own solution.
– example for WP Rocket:
You’d probably need to consult with the support team of your caching plugin.

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
All is good but one last thing if I may.
Recently Viewed Products (RVP) Rigid Shortcode TITLE, is not editable (meaning to be able to control the alighment -right or left – or to control the typography -bold or italic – etc, hence for example in my case I left it empty and instead I use a Text Box right above the shortcode, with the my own sentence “Recently Viewed Products”, in nice Bold letters aligned to the left side of the page! Looks perfect.
BUT…. When customers visit for the first time the website, there are obviously no RVP to show them… hence no products are there not until they click on any product etc BUT …. again… In my case, the Title Box is always there since it’s not part of the shortcode!!
It doesn’t look good that way apparently. It should be shown only when there are RVP to show to the customers. So, in order for me or anyone else facing the same problem, in order to remove the title block and use the RVP shortcode title: can we have the RVP shortcode title editable please? So we can adjust its location and typography? And could you confirm once again that the RVP Title will NOT be shown to first time visitors, at all? (i haven’t tried having the shortcode title yet… that’s why I’m asking for the confirmation).
Many thanks

KeymasterHi Yiannos,
not really sure what do you mean. The widget title can be edited just like for any other widget:
If it’s first visit, the widget would not be displayed at all, so the title wouldn’t be visible too.

KeymasterIf you want it aligned to the left, than just don’s set the general row alignment to center.
As for the title – the only way to change it’s appearance would be with custom CSS rule. It was made like this on purpose, as this modules are always displayed at the page bottom on all websites and they must not be too much “in the face”. It’s a standard practice and it should not be a major section of the page.
As for the tag itself – it can’t be h1 or h2. First – it’s not semantically right and Second – ALL WordPress widget titles are h3 and h4. It’s not even theme related. It’s how widgets are built.
