Hi,
i am facing some troubles with the lafka theme restaurant menu.

I want to create a menu with different type of food we provide to our clients but i did not get the result i want (please refer to screenshots below) :

when i create new restaurant entry with only price and short desc i did not get the desired result :
in detailed entry it did not show the short description ( only old entries from demo show the short description).
the menu did not sho short description

Hello envator01,

The short text in the listings is not the description. It’s the content of the “Ingredients” field.

As for the single menu item page – in order to show the “Short Description” text, you’d need to enter the serving size (e.g. – 200 gr.), as this is mandatory in most countries. All restaurant menus are obliged to clearly state the portion size.

May be it’s mandatory for you but, it’s all about client case statement, client want to use static menu with short description only. could you support :
i need to use only the short description for the static menu, and i don’t need to enter the serving size !!

As I already explained, currently this is not possible.

I’ll discuss with the team if we can change that for the next theme update.

A new version of the theme where you’d be able to display the short description without entering the weight will be released later today.
