ParticipantHi,
like very much your theme, just have one question.
Here on site https://www.mytacos.it/ I have some products with name included word “Taco” and those products have also tag “Tacos” and category “Tacos”.
Now, if i try to search for “Taco” I have correct results (since this word is inside the name of products).
When I try to search for “Tacos” (which is inside of tags and categories but not inside the name of product) I dont get any results. And its bad and uncomfortable for clients. So my question is – what should I do to make all tacos (or another products, I just use tacos as an example) appear in results, since I can’t name every product with all possibile combinations for a search, can only add more tags (but it seems like tags are invisible for search just as categories are).
I tried different combination, with “use AJAX” on or off, “search only in products” on or off – with no results at all.
Can you help me please?February 15, 2021 at 8:18 pm #28919Althemist
KeymasterHi viktoriazewa,
We know it’s irritating, but this is how WooCommerce work. It can only search in the name and description by default. If you need search capabilities, like searching in tags and categories, you’d need to use a special advanced WooCommerce search type of plugin. It’s just not theme related.
