ParticipantI am using Lafka theme. With a fresh install of this theme, I can’t save any changes or update any page with its built-in page builder (WPBakery Page Builder). I spend the previous two days for finding a solution to this problem but still, there is no solution for this problem. Basically, After installing all the recommended plugins included WPBakery page builder, I go to the page section and edit a premade page like “Sample Page”. If I edit this page with WPbakery page builder and click the update button for all changes to be saved, Page builder doesn’t show me any save successful message. And guess what, The page not saved or updated. I also try without the WPbakery page builder, With the default editor of WordPress, When I make a change of something into the page, and then clicking on the update button, do you know what happened? Then “Page not found” message is shown.
I disabled the Gutenberg plugins from the WPbakery settings and try again, but not working, same problem faced. When I deactivate WPBakery plugins and try to update any page from the default page editor or block editor, then page update works fine. But when I active that plugins again, the problem happens again and again. But one more thing, If I create a new page with the WPbakery Page builder, then this plugins works properly without any problem. But I have to use premade or imported demo pages, So I must have to make changes on those pages with the WPBakery page builder, but then this page builder is not working with those premade pages, I can’t update any changes to those page using this page builder plugins.
What can I do to solve this problem? I really need to solve this problem in an emergency. Please help me, Thanks in advance.

KeymasterHi kanaktheboss,
Sounds like JS error on your pages. Unfortunately, we can’t just guess exactly what could be wrong.
If you give us temporary admin access to your site, we can try to investigate the problem for you.

ParticipantHello, Dear Althemist Team,
I already gave you temporary login information to investigate my website as you wanted to investigate the problem. But you or anyone didn’t reply yet. Please do something as soon as possible cause my full development process is stuck here on this problem. I can’t bypass the problem without solving it cause it’s a serious project and the business is fully dependent on the website. Please do something or tell me something, so that I can solve the problem as soon as possible and continue the development process.Thanks.

KeymasterHello kanaktheboss,
So sorry for the late reply.
We have checked your website and it looks like there are a lot of errors in the log. They are mostly related to some Divi modules plugin. It looks like you have used elements from different themes and plugins and your database is messed up. I’d suggest to reset your installation and install the theme on clean WordPress instance.
You can use this plugin to reset the installation:

ParticipantDear Althemist Team,
Thanks for your support on this issue. But unfortunately, the problem is still there. After your suggestion what I have done?First of all, I completely uninstall my WordPress and delete the full database including all tables. Then I install a fresh copy of WordPress (v5.7.2) directly using my cPanel(Softaculous). After completing the installation process, I upload the Lafka.zip theme file and install the theme, and activate it. Then from Appearance > Install Plugins, I installed all the plugins that recommended by the theme.
And after this step, I simply go to the WordPress Pages section and click Edit with WPBakery Page Builder link in the bellow of Sample Page, Just simply change something on the page and click the Update button, nothing happens and the page builder is not saved my changes.
I run the inspect tool and again click the update button, there is an error message I found inside the console tab:
POST https://webrestaurang.se/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
[HTTP/2 404 Not Found 1620ms]Then I confirmed that the admin-ajax.php file already exists inside the correct folder of cPanle in good condition and with all permissions. I don’t know why this WPbakery plugins can’t found this file. So this is the main problem that the admin-ajax.php file is not found (But the file physically exists).
I even didn’t import any demo from theme options till this step.
Then I found a recent update of Lafka theme. I updated the theme from the Evanto Market plugin. And try again to edit the page, but the same problem faced, getting the same previous error into the Inspector > Console tab. My changes not saved for existing or premade pages.
Then I import the Main Demo of Lafka, Same problem faced that premade pages can’t be saved by WPbakery page builder including the home page. Even, if I edit the page using “Edit Page” link, without page builder, then after clicking on the update button, the button takes me to the “404 page not found” page. If I deactivate page builder plugins then the update button is worked fine. So I decided that, the problem is inside the Page builder plugins. But what is the exact problem and what will be the solution I don’t know.
I also tried by disable Gutenberg Editor from WPbakery plugins but not working.
Please, check this problem and give me a solution asap, I have need to solve this very urgent. Waiting for your reply…
Best Regards

KeymasterHi kanaktheboss,
It looks like there is something wrong in your server settings. It’s definitely not theme related. There is just nothing in the theme itself which could cause such problem. I’d suggest checking with your hosting support if for some reason the php safe_mode was enabled on your site. We really can’t tell could be causing this. Such problem was never reported by the 1700+ users of the theme.
Alternatively, you may try to make a manual installation of the WordPress system (not via Softaculous), as sometimes it may set things that are not supported.
We are truly sorry we can’t provide more help. It’s just just not theme related and beyond the scope of the theme support. The WP Bakery plugin itself can’t be the reason too. It’s something in your server settings.
