ParticipantHi Dimitar,
thanks for answering at envato. Here I am 😉 I really much hope you can help. In the following you’ll find again the problem I face:
I have problems using the opt-in plugin thrive leads with your theme. I have already been in intense communication with the thrive leads support and they made a lots of tests (including deactivating all plugins in order to isolate the problem) and finally reinstalled their plugin via FTP.
Afterwards I got the following information from them:
“After that, it seems that the product was not loading any template, and I switched the theme to a default WP theme. It seems that this is the issue, with a default WP theme, the templates can be loaded and edited. My recommendation is to try to contact the theme developers regarding this matter, maybe they can provide you a patch for this error.”
It would be great if you had a look. I’ll provide you the login details to my staging side in a private message.
Best regards
Ariadne

KeymasterHi Ariadne,
Welcome back. We will surely do our best to help and if it turns to be a theme-related incompatibility, we’d definitely provide a fix.
the problem is the large number of links, so the system automatically marks your post as spam for manual moderation.
I guess this not a live site. Is it OK to switch the user to English? I just can’t get oriented in German language.

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
correct, this is not my live website. So feel free to do make all changes/ tests needed. Of course it is ok to switch the user to Englisch. I just changed the language in the settings to englisch. I am not sure if this was what you meant. If you meant something different, feel free to change it to English as well.
Best regards
Ariadne

KeymasterHi Ariadne,
could you please also give us the ThriveLeads plugin files, so we can test on system not cluttered with so many plugins?
Right now it doesn’t really seem to be a theme related problem. There are many errors on your site in both the front-end AND the admin, so we’d need to test it on clear environment. Could also be some code in your child-theme or the header and footer scripts you have inserted.

KeymasterHi Ariadne,
We are checking it now. Yes, it doesn’t sound good, but it’s still not that of a big problem. Depending on what’s causing the problem it may be an easy fix. Will let you know ASAP when we know more about it.

KeymasterHi Ariadne,
What license do you have for the Thrive Leads plugin? We are struggling with the diagnostics because we can’t fully enable the plugin. Is it locked to your domain only, or you have a membership license? Can we activate it on our dev environment with your license?

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
I just checked this. I only have one licence and this seems be strictly connected to my url. I am afraid that it then cannot be activated a second time. I cannot even find any licence key.
Is there any other way to check that?

KeymasterCould you please ask the Thrive themes support if there is a way to enable the plugin on test environment, so we can check what’s causing the incompatibility?

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
this is the answer of thrive leads
“We will recommend providing the staging website for troubleshooting purposes.
Did they refer to something else when they mentioned the “test environment”?On the staging website, they should be able to further check the issue and the errors that are generated without actually affecting your live website.”
Furthermore they said:
“The most common cause of conflicts is different versions of jQuery loaded directly by one of your plugins or your theme. WordPress comes with jQuery included in /wp-includes/js/jquery/ and every theme and plugin should load it from there. However, some developers choose to include a different version of jQuery in their products and this might cause issues with our plugins.”
But I presume that your theme loads the right jQuery.
I just changed from my child theme to the original rigid themes and then the problem does not occure anymore. So it must be a problem caused by any changes that I made myself, correct?
You then would not help anyway, would you? Maybe I have to completely rebuild my side once in order to get rid of all those issues 🙁 🙁 🙁
Regards
Ariadne

Keymaster1. We were referring to an option to install it on our own server so we are perfectly sure it’s a clean installation on a server that fully meets the WordPress requirements.
2. Something that modifies the jQuery was our initial thought. The theme itself doesn’t interfere with the default WordPress scripts – e.g it doesn’t load ANY jQuery. Otherwise it would not be accepted for sale on ThemeForest. It is possible, that some other plugin scripts are conflicting the Thrive scripts OR alters the built-in jquery version.
3. That’s a pretty solid lead. You should have started with this. 🙂 If removing the child theme fix the problem, it’s clearly a conflict with your custom scripts. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to fix your own scripts as we don’t know how and why are they developed and what purpose they serve.
