ParticipantHi, I am having issues after updating the theme. Once its is updated I need to update the Lafka and Revolution Slider plugins that came wit the theme for woocommerce, but if I activate the revolution plugin, after the update when I go to update woocommerce via the “update required” button see a “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page” message.
I know its not your plugin but its bundled with the theme and obviously you tested the theme update, any idea what is causing this? I would be very grateful for some assistance

ParticipantSorry to repost, I know you always answer I just thought I should add some extra info to help.
I updated the theme via the envato updater and when checking plugins afterward I saw the Lafka and Revolution plugins needed to be updated for woocommerce (“update required” under woocommerce in plugins). The Lafka plugin update was fine but after I updated Revolution to 6.3.9 the “update required” link was still there but takes me to “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”.
I have read the documentation regarding waiting for your theme to update before updating plugins so I have. I was of the understanding that after installing a theme update is when I need to look at updating any plugins, which is what brings me here.
Have I misunderstood something or messed up the process? The only updates at the time were the theme ad then the 2 plugins mentioned (I think!).
Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

KeymasterHello pointystick,
Exactly where do you see the update “required” notification?
If you give us temporary admin access to your site, we can check what could be wrong.

KeymasterHello pointystick,
It looks like you just need to update the WooCommerce under WordPress Dashboard > Updates. BTW, the actual version of WooCommerce is 5.0, not 4.8
We can’t login to your site with the provided credentials, as it asks for a “secret question”. Can’t you just provide a normal username and a password?

KeymasterHi pointystick,
There is something really strange on your site. I suspect the reason could be your Easy Updates Manager plugin. It looks like your WordPress installation just doesn’t recognize your WooCommerce as outdated and it blocks the update to WooCommerce 5.0

ParticipantOk thanks for taking a look. Would you suggest disabling removing and reinstalling easy updates? I know this out of the realms of your support but I would appreciate your advice if you would be so kind?
Either way, thanks again!

KeymasterHi pointystick,
No problem in posting again at all. Unfortunately, we really can’t do anything here. It looks like something on your installation just block the updates. It’s definitely not theme related, so we just can’t do much here.

KeymasterThat’s really strange. WooCommerce 5.0 is definitely a stable release. However, whether the Revolution slider is active or not should have no effect on plugin updates. I guess that’s the “managed wordpress” hosting problem as you don’t have full control.
1. Nothing at all. The Revolution slider is not a required plugin. It’s even used in the demos. It’s only included in the package for those who might need a premium slider (e.g. – just an additional value for our customers)
2. I am afraid no, but as I said this should not be related to Revolution slider at all.
To be completely honest, the best advice I can give you in this situation is to get a normal hosting – either with Bluehost or another proper company like SiteGround (this what we use and recommend). Just make sure it’s a standard hosting, not “special wordpress hosting”).
Hope this helps.
BTW, if you’re happy with the theme and support, we’d really appreciate it if you take the time to rate it on ThemeForest. It only takes few seconds, but it helps us a lot to keep improving our themes and adding new features. You can do this in your Downloads page ( https://themeforest.net/downloads ) – the small stars bellow the green “Download” button.
Best regards,
