Hi. Just bought the theme and having trouble fully importing the ‘Marketplace’ demo. Most of it is there, but not the orange box slider under the title ‘Latest Additions’, and some of the images under ‘Shop by Category’. My website is – https://trade-fair.uk/
    Thanks. Malcolm Lewis

Further to my unanswered question above, I’ve noticed that in my imported version of the demo there are no shops underneath ‘Cool Shops Worth Exploring’… As a newbie, a prompt response would be appreciated.

Again, as I move through the demo I see there are other sections missing, now I see the contents of these two pages are missing: https://rigid.althemist.com/wc-marketplace/shop/ and https://rigid.althemist.com/wc-marketplace/rigid-theme-blog/, and there seems to be elements missing and even 404’s!

    Hello Malco,

We have just checked your site and everything seems fine there. It sounds like you imported the demo content before installing the required plugins (Rigid plugin, WC MArketplace etc.) which are listed next to each demo on the Import page.

The missing shops under “cool shops worth exploring” means you don’t have any vendors yet.

Do you still have any problems with the theme?

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hi Dimitar
I’m not sure that I did import the content before installing the required plugins, nevertheless I reset the site using the plugin you recommend for this – ‘WordPress Reset’ – as well, just to be doubly sure, as another called ‘Advanced WordPress Reset’ (which certainly did a reset but also broke my site, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend it!). So, I’ve reinstalled the demo now a number of times, and it still does not fully resemble your example demo. If you look at my site – https://trade-fair.uk/, side by side with your example – https://rigid.althemist.com/wc-marketplace/, you’ll see that all the elements that I mentioned before are still lacking.
By the way, I have of course previously made sure that the various configurations on my server are what the theme requires.
I have to say that the reason I purchased your theme in the first place was solely on the basis of your ‘Marketplace’ demo, with the idea of then being able to develop my own site using it as a starting point. Therefore, after initial installation, of course I need it to appear on my site exactly as it appears in the demo, before adapting it.
Could you please therefore take a closer look at what might be going wrong here.
    Regards
    Malcolm

    Hi Malcolm,

the only difference I see on the shop page is the lack of categories on top. This is not theme related – they must be enabled in Appearance > WooCommerce > Product catalog. This setting just can’t be imported.

On the Blog page you’re missing the posts. Is it possible that you deleted them, OR you set another page for posts under Settings > Reading?

Other than that and the fact you just don’t have vendors yet (we can’t just import them, as they are real user accounts) – everything seems fine to me.

If you need help with anything else, just let us know.

    Hi Dimitar

Clearly I hadn’t realised that importing the demo doesn’t actual mean that I would get a faithful copy of it.

At this stage I haven’t done anything other than import the theme, certainly nothing regarding any blog page. So I don’t know why the contents of these two pages are missing: https://rigid.althemist.com/wc-marketplace/shop/ and https://rigid.althemist.com/wc-marketplace/rigid-theme-blog/.

I will try to look into the WooCommerce settings and also see if I create some vendors, meantime, as I mentioned previously, could you look into the missing orange slider in the boxes under the ‘Latest Additions’ heading.

    Thanks, Malcolm

    Hi Malcolm,

I am afraid I don’t really understand. What do you call “orange slider in the boxes”. I really don’t get it.

I wish I could send you a message with the little movie I made of your slider in action, but of course you don’t do attachments!

However, if you look at your demo again – https://rigid.althemist.com/wc-marketplace/- on the home page under the ‘Latest Editions’ header you’ll see a number of items in boxes. The first time you scroll down the page you’ll see an orange slider that goes across those boxes (perhaps it’s something created from Revolution Slider, I don’t know, though I can confirm that I have that plugin installed). Clearly that feature isn’t being reproduced on my site.

I hope that helps you understand what I mean by the ‘orange slider in the boxes’

    Thanks, Malcolm

    Hi Malcolm,

I guess you’re talking about the “product reveal effect”? If so, this can be enabled in Theme Options > Shop. However, this should be enabled by default. It’s not a revolution slider (or any other slider) – It’s just a JS/CSS effect.

Make sure you didn’t disable the option here:
