    Theme: Zass eCommerce
I paid for someone to install my theme and get this up and running. Now there is a theme update. I’m worried about messing up my set up. I looked up instructions on how to update themes and I was sent to Github to get the wordpress toolkit to install as a plug in. This plug in is supposed to update the theme automatically but then there are warnings about CSS style sheet and other things that may not update on the Envato forums. Can someone post the instructions on how to update a theme? I’m seeing different instructions. Will this cause my set up to get messed up? Thanks

    Hi Chanelle,

you don’t need the Envato Toolkit for this.

There are two ways to update your theme:

    1. Manually (Recommended) – Go to your Downloads page in ThemeForest and click on the green Download button. Choose “Installable wordpress theme only” option. When you download the zass.zip file, extract it and upload the entire folder on your server using FTP and confirm all file replacements.

    2. You can set automatic theme updates in Theme Options > Zass Updates. Go to Admin > Theme Options > Zass Updates and follow the instructions.

When the theme is updated either by method 1 or method 2, Check in Appearance > Install Plugins menu if there are theme related plugins that requires update.

    That’s it.

    Hope this helps.
