    Hi Dimitar,

I hope you are doing good.

I’d like to create a button via WPBakery Page Builder. Unfortunately it does not work.

I can create the button but I cannot set an URL. After choosing an URL and clicking on “Set link” I can only leave the page builder and the url is not safed.

Is there any way to fix that?

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Best regards

    Ariadne

    Hi Ariadne,

this sounds like a JS error on your site. Are you using the latest theme version and the latest WP Bakery PB version?

    Good Morning,

I just checked the updates -> I use WPBakery Page Builder Version 5.5.2. and your Rigid Theme Version 4.6.0.

Do I have to register at https://support.wpbakery.com/login as proposed in the WPBakery Page Builder settings under ‘product licence’?

    Best regards

    Hi Ariadne,

you can’t register there, as you do not own a separate license for the WP Bakery page builder (more info here: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins )

if you give us temporary admin access to your site, we can try to diagnose the problem. Most probably it’s a JS error, OR your server doesn’t meet the WordPress/WooCommerce requirements.

Everything works fine for me. I have successfully added a new button with a link to the theme demo on your home page:

    https://yomela.de/

However, there are really some errors (mixed content errors and JS errors) in the console of your site:

As for the other error – we can’t really tell as it’s not theme related. Could be wrong folder/file permissions, wrong settings in HTACCESS files or missing HTACCESS somewhere, old PHP (I can see you’re using PHP 7.0, while the recommended version is PHP 7.2+) OR some of your plugins are using deprecated features.

I’d suggest trying to disable your plugins one-by-one until you find which one is causing the trouble.

I’d start with the Wordfense – an extremely problematic plugin. In my experience it’d always bring more harm than good. The JS errors and mixed content errors could also be potentially related to Wordfense.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hi,
I also have the same issue when trying to add a link to “GO BUTTON< eye catching button” element WP Bakery. When trying to insert the link, Select URL, Search, Select Page, click on Set Link… takes me to my Admin page, not back to Button update.

    Hi stylevid,

we’d need to see the problem “live” in order to tell what could be wrong.

Please, create a NEW TOPIC with more details and give us temporary admin access to your site, so we can check.

    Regards,
    Dimitar

    Hi Dimitar, Hi stylevid,

fyi -> maybe you allready discussed a solution at another place. But I just understood how it came that you Dimitar could easily add a linked button with WP Bakery while I could’t.

It only works in the backend, not in the frontend. It seems to be a known bug within WP Bakery as they state here https://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431/comments?from_buyers_and_authors_only=0&order_by=newest&page=1&term=url+undefined&utf8=%E2%9C%93

Should be removed with the next WP Bakery update 🙂

    Best regards

    Ariadne
