    Hi there!

We are having difficulties while adding products in Variable Product option.

We have the same product with 2 different colours- whenever we switch to a different colour only 1 of 3 pictures below the main photograph updates to the chosen colour.

Also, for SEO purposes each item has individual product name( which differs by colour description). Is there a way of updating the name of the item when switching to a different colour?

    Regards,

    JD

You can do something like the name changing with jQuery, please click on this link: http://jsfiddle.net/j08691/BdQU2/1

The thing here is that you will have to get into the files and code it. I can remember a way to do it from the Theme, but it would be nice.

    Hello JD,

This is not theme related. It’s how WooCommerce work. You can only assign one picture to a product variation.

The product name can’t be changed based on a variation. Again, it is not theme related. However, you can always use short description for the variation for SEO purposes.

Do you think this Plugin could help?

    Thanks,

May be. I can’t really tell, as it’s a premium plugin and we can’t test it. However, if using the default WooCommerce gallery and not the custom theme gallery it should work.
