ParticipantHi, me again…
I’ve been trying to exchange the Payment Option Icons for 2 hours now. Since I use other payment providers and generally want to have different icons, I want to replace the existing ones.
I’ve already discovered that they are CSS Image Sprites.
So I created my own CSS Image Sprite and then wanted to adapt the Stylesheet.css.
Unfortunately I didn’t manage to do this. As soon as I replace the cards.png in the “wp-content / theme / lafka / image” folder, the positions obviously no longer match.
So I then tried to adapt the positions in stylesheet.css to the new positions. As soon as I do this, however, no payment methods appear on the website at all.I hope you can help me.

KeymasterHi dominic.peer,
Most probably the image’s position in your sprite is different. The easiest way would be to replace some of the images in the existing sprite and just use their old positions in the widget.
e.g. – replace the Stripe icon and than active the Stripe option in the widget.

ParticipantHi,
im so sorry!
I’ve been trying to swap pictures for hours. I’m not able to make it.Can you help me or tell me more about how it works?
You write to change the existing sprite. As far as I understand, the sprite is in style.css and accesses cards.png. Unfortunately I can’t find any way to edit the sprite or generate a new sprite with the same positions.
With the request for your help,

KeymasterWhat I meant was to edit the cards.png and replace some of the existing cards you won’t use.

ParticipantSo I also thought that it would be the easiest. But I don’t understand how to do it. Open cards.png and put my pictures on top of the existing ones? When I save this, the background size no longer fits.
So how can I understand that? What do you mean exactly?

KeymasterHi Dominic,
Yes, this is exactly what I meant. Edit the original cards.png file and replace one of the card images you don’t use with the one you want. If you don’t change the file type, size and resolution everything should be OK.

ParticipantHi, 🙂
I have now managed to solve it with Photoshop and have overlapped the images. However, I now have the problem that I can no longer deactivate the payment methods that I do not need. I deactivate this, save everything and when I select the widgets again, they are all checked again.
Can you help?

KeymasterHi Dominic,
You forgot to update the theme plugin too (Lafka plugin). Whenever there is a theme update always check if there are updates available for it’s plugins under Appearance > Install Plugins (in your language – Design > Install Plugins).
I have updated the plugin and it works fine now.
