ParticipantDimitar,
1. Your response was not a step by step tutorial. You also refer to a code inspector, and a step by step tutorial would explain what that is and where to get it, for example.
2. People do not need coding experience to do code, all that is required is a clear step by step tutorial. I am a corporate account with 20 years experience. I am very intelligent, and accounting is much like coding. It’s just a different language. Your theme was advertised as being fully customisable. No coding required. That’s not the case.
3. I already did all of that, using the info from your response, the knowledge I’ve already gained, and simple common sense. I cut and paste then changed the menu class as you advised. I was simply being brief in my explanation. I was curious to know if I needed to add any start and end tags, or something like that, because it didn’t work.
4. I have disabled Rigid, installed a free theme, and I got a LOGIN and SIGN UP button in my header in around 20 minutes. It’s done. Rigid was actually blocking me from doing it.
5. The theme was advertised as being fully customisable. It’s not. Particularly the WooCommerce My Account. Even with the paid WooCommerce add-in it still doesn’t edit everything, and that clears all the rigid settings. Also, your theme advertised we did not need to download any paid plugins, or do any coding, and that’s exactly what I’ve had to do.
6. This has caused me so much stress it has given me anxiety and consumed my life for 3 weeks. It could have been so simple and it wasn’t. Even this coding you gave me for the button didn’t work, and I don’t know why. I can’t launch a website without a login and signup button. So I’ve had no choice but to delete Rigid. And now, I have my buttons that’ve been driving me crazy for almost a month now. Problem solved. And, I did it with coding. See, a person doesn’t need experience.
7. I would like a refund please. I cannot afford to waste money. I’m trying to create a new income for myself after losing my job because of COVID. I cannot afford to pay for something that does not do everything it was advertised to do.All the best in the future, and thankyou for your time. Please process my refund without delay.
Thank you

ParticipantThanks Dimitar,
Do I put that in the style.css file in he child theme?
When I go in there, I have this;/*
Theme Name: Rigid Child
Theme URI: https://rigid.althemist.com/
Description: Rigid theme by theAlThemist – <br/> Modern E-commerce WordPress / WooCommerce theme<br/> Other themes by us.
Version: 1.0.0
Template: rigid
Author: theAlThemist
Author URI: https://www.althemist.com
License: Envato / Themeforest Split Licence
License URI: https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
Text Domain: rigid
*/
I put that code on the end but it didn’t work. I must be misunderstanding something.
Do I need to put that code here? Do I need start and end tags? Thanks

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
I’ve tried this and it doesn’t work. I really wish there was a clear step by step tutorial on this. It was easy to set up an endpoint using a tutorial, but I’m still unable to put buttons in the header.
The only way I have found I can put button sin the header is to use Elementor Kit. But that takes over the header and it removes the options I already selected, for exmaple, the top bar, the store notice, the colours.
I will have to choose another theme that has the buttons in the header, or at least proper instructions on how to do it.
I really can’t waste any more time doing such a simple task.Thank you

ParticipantThanks Dimitar 🙂
Ok, two questions.
1. What is the code inspector and how do I use it to check for the menu item’s auto assigned class? I don’t remember seeing that in “Theme Options”
2. Also, do I put this code (above) into the child theme’s style.css file?
Thanks

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
Can you please tell me the CSS coding to add these buttons to the header?
It seems to be a heavily guarded secret!
I’ve literally spent the last three weeks trying to get two buttons in my header 🙁Can you please give me the CSS coding or direct me to one of the Althemist tutorials that will have it?
I used an Althemist tutorial to create my own endpoint using the child theme, it’s easy when I have clear instructions.
I just need to know the code for these buttons and and where to put it.Can you please tell me?
Thanks

ParticipantThanks Dimitar I really appreciate it 🙂
I have one more question;
I did that as you said, but when I go back to the themes folder, it still shows the parent theme as being active,
and the child theme still shows the “activate” button.Do I need to refresh permalinks?
Thanks again

ParticipantHi Dimitar,
Sorry, I mean the second demo in the list.
It’s the marketplace one, with the cartoon on the homepageEven if I can’t import the homepage only, isn’t there a written document with the settings for that demo? Then I could just copy the sections I want to use.
Thanks
